Queer Craft Nights ~ January
BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft) to The Frederick Center for January Craft Nights! From 6-9pm on Fridays January 2nd, 16th, and 30th you can join fellow LGBTQ+ community members for a safe and affirming place to meet new friends, learn new crafts, or craft quietly on your own with friends!
Drag Bingo: Country Legends
This Country Themed BINGO is not to miss! Come rodeo at Idiom brewery with us and win up to $2,800 in cash prizes! DRAG BINGO IS BACK with an event! Sunday, January 25th, play bingo with your friends, witness the very best drag performances from our stellar and fabulous queens, and join our costume contest. Get the chance to WIN BIG, while drinking and eating all that Idiom Brewing has to offer! This is by far the best way to support your local community center AND enjoy your Sunday. Magic: the Gathering ~ January
Join us at The Frederick Center to play Magic: the Gathering! From 3-6pm on Sundays January 4th and 18th, you can make your own deck, borrow cards, and play Magic with friends new and old!
Queer-aoke
Join us at TFC on Saturday, January 10th from 6:00pm onwards to sing and dance along with our amazing drag talent host, Black-Eyed Suzy! This event is free and open to anyone 18+. We hope to see you there!
Sapphic Dance ~ New Years!
Join us and The Frederick L Word at The Frederick Center to celebrate the new year with fellow lesbian, sapphic, gay, queer women and fem folks! We’ll be dancing along to DJ Jazzy Pam’s mixes from 5-9pm. Pay what you can and all proceeds go to support future Sapphic Dances.
Magic: the Gathering ~ December
Join us on Sundays December 7th and 21st for Magic: the Gathering at The Frederick Center from 3:00-6:00pm! Bring your favorite deck, or build one with friends! This is an inclusive space created by and for LGBTQ+ people. Make new friends, play a new game, and join in the fun. See you there?
Holiday Movie Night
Join us at The Frederick Center for family movie night to celebrate the holidays with chosen family! Starting at 4pm, we will first watch the Muppet Christmas Carroll (rated G), followed by Happiest Season (rated PG-13)! This event is free and open to the public.
Past Events
Ammonite / Shut Up Volua / Pet Names at TFC
Three local Maryland Acts - Ammonite, Shut Up Voula, and Pet Names - will be at The Frederick Center for a music-filled night for all ages. Doors 6:30, show starts at 7. Tickets are Pay What You Can at the door - $5 / $10 / $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. You don't need to show an Eventbrite ticket for entry -- but your RSVP helps us plan for attendance! Because the show is all ages, alcohol will not be permitted on the premises. You are welcome to bring your own soft drink and/or snack to enjoy during the show. As a part of the event the artists are also collecting voluntary donations for the Frederick Community Fridge!
