Trans Day of Visibility 2026
YOU'RE INVITED to our 2026 Trans Joy Picnic to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV)! This will be our biggest and best celebration yet! To show our pride in our trans community, connect with friends, and cultivate trans joy and resilience, we hope to see you there. From 12:00pm-4:00pm at Mullinex Park in Downtown Frederick, we will have a BBQ cookout, annual banner signing, tie dye, bracelet making, music, and more! This event is FREE and open to all ages. Come on down and celebrate with us on April 4th!

Beyond Strangers at FCC
"The difference between prejudice and empathy is knowing the whole story" so get to know the whole story through personal conversations with members of the LGBTQ+ community! From 11:30-1:30pm at FCC's Student Center on March 11th, community members are invited to engage in thoughtful and kind conversations that promote acceptance, understanding, and empathy. Sapphic Dance ~ March
Lucky Charms Sapphic Dance will be on March 7th! This is a free, 21+ inclusive event for lesbians, queer folks, femme people, sapphic-identifying individuals, women-loving-women! Join us to dance along to spins by DJ Jazzy Pam!
BIPOC Creatives Fair
Celebrate and support queer BIPOC business owners and artistry at The Frederick Center! On February 28th from 12:00-5:00pm, we will host an open mic and craft exhibition with queer BIPOC folks. We hope to see you there!
Movie Night ~ February
You are invited to join The Frederick Center for Movie Night on February 22nd starting at 5pm. This evenings feature will be rated PG-13. During this free event we will have donate what you wish for popcorn and some light concessions.

Queer Craft Nights ~ February
BYOC (Bring Your Own Craft) to The Frederick Center for February Craft Nights! From 6-9pm on Fridays February 13th and 27th, you can join fellow LGBTQ+ community members for a safe and affirming place to meet new friends, learn new crafts, or craft quietly on your own with friends! We hope to see you there.
LGBTQ+ Legal Advice Clinics
The Frederick Center hosts four free LGBTQ+ Legal Advice Clinics per year! Register and join us to receive legal assistance at the clinic.
Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training
Suicide is Preventable. The Frederick Center is hosting the Frederick County Mental Health Association to provide Suicide Awareness and Prevention Training. Through this training we hope to equip our community with the skills to recognize warning signs and to build confidence in talking to someone who may be struggling. Together we can change the narrative and remind each other to look out for one another.
