Youth Queer Craft Nights
The Frederick Center is thrilled to welcome LGBTQ+ youth, friends, and allies to Youth Craft Nights on 10/22, 11/29, & 12/10! From 6:00-8:00pm, youth are invited to Bring Your Own Craft (BYOC)-- ANY crafts and crafting format is welcome. Crochet, knit, draw, make kandi, illustrate on a tablet, paint, or anything creative! Transgender Day of Remembrance 2026
The Frederick community is invited to join The Frederick Center for Transgender Day of Remembrance, an annual tradition focused on honoring the lives of transgender and gender nonconforming people who were lost to anti-transgender violence in 2026. Observance Schedule: Welcome and opening remarks from 6:30 – 6:45pm Speeches and ceremony from 6:45 – 7:00pm Light refreshments and signing of the flags of resilience from 7:00 – 7:30pm with fellowship with community and TFC staff available for emotional support. Please be advised. This event covers topics of violence and can be distressing.
Town House Got Talent ~ A Queer Talent Show
Town House Got Talent is a community-organized and led talent show for the queer community, in partnership with The Frederick Center. On November 15th at 2pm, come on down to TFC to see and engage with some of the most unique and wonderful talents our community has to offer! This event is free and open to all over the age of 21. Want to perform or show off your talent? Free LGBTQ+ Legal Advice Clinic
Receive support from experienced lawyers regarding family law, estate planning, guardianship, name changes, landlord-tenant concerns, criminal law, adoption and other civil legal matters. Volunteer attorneys have been trained through The Frederick Center’s LGBTQ+ 101 training. The clinic is now featuring free notary services! The Center will host clinics throughout 2026 on February 12, May 14, August 13, and November 12, all beginning at 5:30pm.
Queer & Trans Clothing Swap
Join us for our twice-annual Queer and Trans Clothing Swap at The Frederick Center! All week, from Monday the 2nd – Friday the 6th, we are accepting clothing donations from 9-4pm of MAXIMUM TWO TRASH BAGS FULL of good-condition clothes. Then, on Saturday the 7th from 1-5pm, join us to grab all the clothes you want, no prior donation required. All clothes are FREE, all-gender, and open to anyone who needs them. We hope to see you there!

The Frederick Center is a participating location for Halloween in Downtown Frederick! On Halloween, join PFLAG and stop by TFC for some candy or to use our restroom!
Pink Drinks ~ October
Welcome to Pink Drinks, Frederick’s premier, FREE, monthly LGBTQIA+ social networking event! Pink Drinks is hosted by The Frederick Center, a non-profit organization that supports and advocates for the LGBTQIA+ community. Pink Drinks is an informal, loosely organized, networking and gathering function offered monthly to the The Frederick Center (TFC) community. It is intended to provide an opportunity to bring together adults (ages 21+) of the Central Maryland area LGBTQIA+ community and allies to encourage friendship, conversation, and community involvement. On October 30th, join us at Pink Drinks for free!
Queer & Disability Communities Town Hall
Join us to discuss LGBTQ+/Disability needs in The Frederick Center community, requests for disability-centered programming, and to mix and mingle with fellow community members. From 6:30-7:00pm, the town hall will include a discussion facilitated by TFC Program Director, Glorie (they/them), and TFC Events Director, Netasha (she/they). Then be sure to stick around from 7:00-7:30pm for light refreshments and social time. This event will be held on the first floor of The Frederick Center. ASL interpreter can be provided upon request. Drag Bingo: Ghoulish Gallery
This Halloween Themed BINGO is not to miss! Come haunt at Steinhardt brewery with us and win up to $2,800 in cash prizes! DRAG BINGO: Ghoulish Gallery! DRAG BINGO IS BACK with an event! Play bingo with your friends, witness the very best drag performances from our stellar and fabulous queens, and join our costume contest. Get the chance to WIN BIG, while drinking and eating all that Steinhardt Brewing has to offer! This is by far the best way to support your local community center AND enjoy your Sunday. Featuring Kings and Queen of grave talent! $2,800 in cash prizes with door prizes, pull tabs for instant cash! All proceeds from this event go to benefit The Frederick Center, a 501c-3 nonprofit dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ community of the greater Frederick area.

Sapphic Dance Spooky Edition
Join The Frederick Center and the Frederick L Word for another edition of Sapphic Dance! On October 24th, dress up or come as your beautiful self, and dance with fellow sapphic ladies or fem-leaning folks! This event is free to attend, with donations suggested, and is a 21+ event. BYOB! Queer Craft Nights ~ Sept + Oct
Craft alongside fellow queer crafty folks on Fridays September 11th, 25th, and October 9th and 23rd at The Frederick Center! From 6-9pm, bring your own craft, socialize with friends, and enjoy community in an affirming space. We hope to see you there!
Trunk or Treat & Youth Halloween Party
A ghoulish gallery of costumes, candy, and daring dancing! If you are between the ages of 9 and 18, come on down to dance the night away! Come celebrate Halloween at The Frederick Center, with its first ever Trunk or Treat event and Dance party! There are two parts to the event: Trunk or Treat (First Floor) Free for ages 18 and under! Come join our spooky celebration with collecting candy goods, freebies, and supporting small businesses selling items for youth! Dance party with DJ Black Eyed Suzy, food, and costume contest (Second Floor). For $20, continue the celebration with such an amazing time, it could wake the dead! Prizes for the best overall costume, scariest costume, and most creative costume!

Spark: Annual Prism Awards Gala
Join us for an unforgettable night of dinner, stories, and celebration. The Prism Awards Gala returns on Sunday, October 4th, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Thorpewood in Thurmont. Each year, The Frederick Center awards distinguished allies, advocates, and organizations that go above and beyond to protect and advance LGBTQ+ rights and the well-being of our local LGBTQ+ community in Central Maryland. For over a decade, we have celebrated countless heroes with our Prism Awards, and we hope you will join us in honoring their work. Enjoy: a festive cocktail hour • a decadent meal followed by our annual award ceremony • heartfelt stories of advocacy, passion, and life-changing moments • talented performances and special guests • one-of-a-kind art and experiences at our silent auction and raffle. Funds raised by the Prism Awards Gala directly contribute to the mission and programs of The Frederick Center, funding life-changing peer support programs, educational outreach, and social events that help our LGBTQ+ community thrive.
